The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Sandra Marshall and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kilby manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Souza has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Kilby has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Prosper Training in the buildup to the fight.
Souza tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kilby swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Souza closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Souza is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Kilby !

Souza is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Souza extends the arm and Kilby is forced to tap!
