Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Caine! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jesse Brinkley! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brinkley misses with a wild combination.
Brinkley moves into the clinch. Brinkley wants to get back to striking at distance but Caine won't allow it.
Caine drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Brinkley gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Brinkley escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Caine shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Caine lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Brinkley's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Brinkley looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Caine working Brinkley over with strikes here. Caine lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Caine controlling the pace for now. Caine punishing his opponent with strikes. Caine can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Brinkley is looking to escape. Brinkley is trying to get back to his feet but can't. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Caine has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Caine tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Brinkley squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Caine closes the distance and clinches up with Brinkley, looking for a takedown. Caine pushes Brinkley against the cage but Brinkley circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Caine walks into a left hand. A lazy left from Brinkley finds it's target. Brinkley lands a nice hook to Caine's body. Caine takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Caine does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Brinkley throws a right and a left that Caine avoids nicely. Brinkley stuffs the takedown attempt from Caine. Caine gets slowly back to his feet. Brinkley has managed to clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Brinkley takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Caine has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Brinkley is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Brinkley's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Brinkley tries to clinch but Caine moves out of range. Brinkley tries to clinch but Caine moves out of range. Brinkley tries to close the distance and clinch but Caine swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Caine fails to land the takedown. Caine throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Brinkley scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Jesse Brinkley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Caine tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Caine takes a swing at Brinkley's ribcage but misses. Brinkley scores with a one two! Caine had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Brinkley blocks a head kick by Caine.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chris Caine. I think Caine has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
