Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Ryu Takemura (ranked 23875 p4p, 568 weight class) and Shinji Takada (ranked 25498 p4p, 560 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ryu Takemura! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinji Takada! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takemura ducks under a wild hook from Takada. Takada lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Takemura looks to score with a jab to the body but Takada is just out of range. Takada throws out a powerful jab. Takada rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Takemura counters with a nice uppercut. Takada throws a leg kick and Takemura counters with a straight right hand. Takemura uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Takada. Donk. Takemura catches Takada right on the button with a cross. Takada takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Takada throws a body kick that misses and Takemura counters with a straight right hand. Takada misses with a left hand enabling Takemura to counter with a crisp jab. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A low kick from Takada misses and Takemura counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Takada misses with an attempted mid kick.
Takada throws a head kick that half lands.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takada slips under a jab from Takemura. Takada connects with a high kick. Takemura fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Takemura lands a slapping body shot.
Takada thows a leg kick but Takemura checks it and Takemura connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Takada's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Takada duly obliges. Takada throws a sloppy head kick and Takemura counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A punch combination from Takemura misses. Takada takes a body punch but keeps moving. Takada looks winded! Takada connects with a crisp jab. Takemura lands a head shot. Takada throws a leg kick that is checked and Takemura counters with a straight right hand.
Takada is rocked!
It looks like Shinji Takada has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Takemura connects with a quick right hand that sends Takada tumbling backwards onto the canvas! As his head bounces into the ropes, it doesn't look good for him beating the count! 3,4,5,6,7 and he's up! No, he's back down again! This one is all over - the referee has called off the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Ryu Takemura! Ryu Takemura looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'I'd kill him if the referee let me..'.
