Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Philipp Tyurin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Thor Nordquist!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.

Nordquist throws a right and a left that both miss.
Tyurin throws a looping overhand right but Nordquist ducks down to avoid it.
Nordquist throws out a loose jab but Tyurin uses good head movement to avoid it.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Nordquist.
Tyurin is trying to work for a sweep but Nordquist has mounted him!
Nordquist takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Nordquist prevents Tyurin from getting the reversal.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Thor Nordquist dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Tyurin moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Tyurin dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Tyurin fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Tyurin sends Nordquist crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Tyurin is motioning to the referee to let Nordquist up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Nordquist is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Tyurin gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Nordquist is still on wobbly legs! Can Tyurin finish him?

Tyurin has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Nordquist uses from the top position.

Nordquist has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Tyurin to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Nordquist is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Tyurin pulls down on the head and he's put Nordquist to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Philipp Tyurin!
After the fight, Philipp Tyurin was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
