Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Snake Rex (ranked 2643 p4p, 3022 weight class) and John Silver (ranked 145 p4p, 162 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Rex might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to A Tribe Called Kotori. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Snake Rex!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Silver!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and Chris Edwards.

Rex throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silver.
Silver tried to score with a low kick but Rex checks it.
Silver scores with a one two! Rex had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Rex uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Silver.
Rex went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Silver misses with a left hand
and Rex counters with a nice low kick that buckles Silver's knee momentarily.
Rex closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Rex throws a combination. Silver tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silver throws the left hand but Rex avoids the punch easily.
Rex throws a big counter combination but Silver scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Rex thuds a left hand into Silver's body.
A head kick from Silver lands but Rex takes it in his stride.
Silver misses with a body shot.
Rex looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Silver lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Silver.
Silver throws a hook but Rex avoids it easily.

Silver creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Rex sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Rex manages to get back to half guard.
Rex works his way to full guard. Good work.
Rex manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Silver manages to get himself to full guard.

Rex throws an elbow that misses. Silver uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rex's guard. Nice move by Silver!

Silver throws an elbow that misses. Rex uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Silver's guard. Nice move by Rex!

Silver is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Rex is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Rex stands up over Silver, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Rex stays in close to Silver's body and controls the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rex throws a big elbow that misses.
Rex scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Rex has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Silver is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rex is aware though and is defending well.
Rex wants to control from the top but Silver keeps moving.

Rex slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Silver is trying to keep Rex in close.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Silver lands with a kick to the temple. Rex shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Silver throws a right hand that Rex ducks under and follows up with a left that Rex also avoids with ease.
Silver misses with a body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but John Silver will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Silver throws a looping overhand right but Rex ducks down to avoid it.

Silver looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Rex throws a series of punches but Silver avoids them all with ease.

Silver takes a swing at Rex's ribcage but misses.
Silver misses with a jab, cross combination.
It looked like Rex was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Silver tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rex tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Rex lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
A jab lands there for Silver.
Silver tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Rex thinks about countering with a head kick.
Rex lands a jab to the nose.

Rex lands a left and a right that sends Silver crashing to the canvas! Rex dives into mount looking to finish!

Silver is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rex content just to control the position here.
Silver is still in real trouble! Can Rex finish him?
Rex lands with some strikes.
Rex unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Silver wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Rex celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Snake Rex!
After winning the bout, Snake Rex thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
