The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salles looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Vasconcelos is fending him off so far but Salles persists. Nope, Vasconcelos circles away and we're back to standing.
Salles fails with a takedown attempt.
Salles tries to clinch there but Vasconcelos circles away.
Salles throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vasconcelos's waist but Vasconcelos gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Salles off to one side.
Vitor Vasconcelos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bruno Salles.
Salles throws a head kick but Vasconcelos moves out of range.
