Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Hoop (ranked 7787 p4p, 5247 weight class) and Jackson Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hoop kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is X Gon Give It To Ya. Jackson Daniels has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksandr Martynov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniels moves out of range of the leg kick from Hoop.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hoop looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Daniels pushes Hoop up against the cage in a clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Daniels - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Hoop is trying to break the clinch but Daniels is controlling him.
Hoop tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Hoop has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Daniels after a bit of a struggle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Daniels pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Daniels throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hoop was covering up waiting for the punch and Daniels finishes the takedown easily into guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Daniels fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hoop sprawls well initially but Daniels persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Hoop is trying to maintain the position but Daniels is very close to passing his half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Daniels connects with a nice short shot to Hoop's temple.
Daniels is trying to control. Hoop wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Daniels is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Hoop is defending against the submission attempts here by Daniels.

Daniels paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Hoop pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Daniels back to the cage. Hoop follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Hoop stalks Daniels and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Daniels's face. Daniels staggers backwards, shaken.
Hoop avoids a punch combination nicely.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Daniels is defended easily by Hoop.
Hoop appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

Hoop will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hoop tries to clinch but Daniels is having none of it.
Daniels throws a body punch but Hoop moves out of range.
Hoop is looking for a counter combo.
Daniels scores with a takedown into Hoop's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Hoop manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Daniels manages to get himself to full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hoop postures up in Daniels's guard and throws a big left but Daniels blocks it.
