Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ching Chong (ranked 2858 p4p, 4714 weight class) and Aaron Buodkai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aaron Buodkai will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ching Chong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aaron Buodkai! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Buodkai misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Chong throws a half hearted mid kick. Chong misses with a two punch combination.
Chong clinches up with Buodkai and pushes him back against the cage. A head punch on the inside from Buodkai fails to land. Chong fails to pull guard.
Buodkai has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Buodkai gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Chong.
Chong jumps guard but Buodkai stands there with Chong around his waist. Chong gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ching Chong. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chong turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Chong manages to end up in side control. Buodkai is looking to get back to his feet here but Chong is keeping cool and he's managed to take Buodkai's back. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. What can Buodkai do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

We've been informed that Buodkai has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Chong controls the position. Buodkai is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Buodkai is trying to get back to his feet but Chong has full control of the position and if anything, Buodkai has just worked his way into a worse spot. Buodkai looks winded! Chong biding his time, controlling Buodkai. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chong's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Buodkai is trying to break free.

Ching Chong dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Chong connects with a right hand. Buodkai shakes it off. Buodkai instigates a clinch. Buodkai tries to break the clinch but Chong is controlling the position. Chong tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Buodkai smiles and moves away.
Chong is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Buodkai can do to turn this around? Chong tries to clinch but Buodkai moves out of range. Chong closes the distance and clinches. Still in the clinch, Buodkai scores with a nice short uppercut. Chong with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Buodkai is trying to force a seperation but Chong has the dominant position. Chong tries to pull guard but Buodkai won't allow it.

Buodkai shoots in but no luck this time. Buodkai tries to clinch up. Chong swats away the attempt to clinch by Buodkai. As Buodkai tries to get set, Chong tries to push him back and clinch up but Buodkai manages to avoid the attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. A punch combination from Buodkai misses. Ching Chong is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Chong closes the distance and pushes Buodkai back into the cage. Chong breaks the clinch.
Buodkai dives in and scores a takedown into Chong's guard. Chong has Buodkai pulled in close to control his posture. Buodkai postures up in Chong's guard and throws a big left but Chong blocks it. Buodkai throwing strikes but missing. Buodkai throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Chong has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Buodkai off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Chong throws a head kick that misses. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A combination from Buodkai does no damage. Buodkai takes the fight into the clinch. Chong is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Buodkai can't fight it off and eventually Chong manages to take the fight to the floor. Buodkai looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Chong works over Buodkai with some ground and pound from guard. Ching Chong overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Chong won't allow Buodkai to sweep him here. Chong sitting in guard, not really doing much.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Buodkai can do anything to dispel that myth.

Chong stands up from Buodkai's guard - Chong perhaps looking for a knockout. Buodkai fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Chong, pushing him back against the cage. Chong breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Buodkai tries to clinch but Chong moves out of range. Chong throws a head kick that misses. Buodkai doesn't manage to clinch there - Chong circles away.

Chong postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Chong won't allow Buodkai to get back to his feet. Chong decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Buodkai wants to clinch up but Chong keeps it at a distance. Chong fails with an attempt to clinch.
Chong gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Buodkai counters with a two punch combo. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Buodkai tries to clinch but Chong is having none of it. Chong drops down looking for a counter takedown but Buodkai sprawls and moves away. Buodkai lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Buodkai.

Aaron Buodkai seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Buodkai's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Chong displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Buodkai. Aaron Buodkai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Buodkai takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Chong is looking to clinch but Buodkai is avoiding it.
Buodkai fails in his attempt to clinch. Chong half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Chong shoots for a double leg takedown but Buodkai sprawls well. He's pushed Chong's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Buodkai doesn't manage to clinch there - Chong circles away.
Aaron Buodkai has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ching Chong is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Buodkai throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
