The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, David Hoff and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vermer lands a two punch combo.
It looks like Grady Gilligan has been cut.
Gilligan fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Vermer to the ground. Gilligan is now in Vermer's guard.
Vermer scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Vermer cracks Gilligan with a right hand to the side of the head.
Vermer scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gilligan ducks right into an uppercut from Vermer.
Vermer lands with a big left! Gilligan is wobbled badly! Vermer comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Gilligan to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.

Grady Gilligan spoke after the fight, saying 'I am sorry that I lost but I still love my fans but I want a rematch.'.
