Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matt Van Bromer (ranked 4126 p4p, 405 weight class) and Roland Allen (ranked 5338 p4p, 470 weight class). Van Bromer kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Go To War - Nothing More. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Bromer misses with a double jab.

Allen takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
We've been told by Van Bromer's head coaches at ~T~ Troid - Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

And Allen tries to counter it with a takedown but Van Bromer pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Van Bromer lands a head kick. Allen smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Allen's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Van Bromer connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Allen scrambles back to his feet.

Van Bromer pulls Allen in close to his closed guard and prevents Allen from doing any damage or advancing position.
Allen drops back looking for a leg! Van Bromer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Van Bromer manages to kick Allen off! Allen jumps back into Van Bromer's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Van Bromer is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Allen is fighting to break Van Bromer's control of his arms but Van Bromer is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Van Bromer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Allen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Van Bromer has managed to get both his arms back between Allen's legs - danger averted.
