Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Cooke (ranked 1037 p4p, 149 weight class) and Don Johns (ranked 1803 p4p, 229 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooke thumps Johns with a low kick.
A shot to the liver by Cooke. Beautiful body shot.
Johns fails with the takedown.
Johns shoots in and drives through. Cooke sprawls well.
Johns shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cooke sprawls well. Cooke wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Johns gets slowly back to his feet.

Johns tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cooke swivels and escapes.
Cooke swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Cooke throws a good cross that connects.
Johns tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Cooke defends well and Johns ends up having to push Cooke into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Cooke feints and then cracks Johns's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Johns down.
Cooke leaves Johns with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Johns has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Cooke.
Cooke wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Johns tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cooke sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Johns somewhat.

Cooke lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Cooke stuns Johns with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Johns shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cooke as he jumps to the side.

Johns changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Cooke fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Don Johns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Johns's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Cooke creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Johns's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Johns drops to his knees and Cooke pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
