Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fletch Brandis (ranked 7599 p4p, 548 weight class) and Oscar Meyer (ranked 20899 p4p, 573 weight class). Brandis kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Lynyrd Skynyrd : The Ballad of Curtis Loew. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brandis swings widly with a right hand
and Meyer counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Brandis gets caught flat footed, as Meyer shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Meyer wants to control from the top but Brandis keeps moving.
Meyer wants to stand and escape but instead Brandis has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Meyer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brandis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Brandis thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Brandis passes Meyer's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Meyer is trying to control Brandis's posture. Brandis takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for Meyer! Brandis is rotating here... this could be the end... Meyer is out! Brandis has ended this one emphatically! Great submission!
