The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Britton displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Coe throws out the jab.
Britton throws the left hand but Coe avoids the punch easily.
Britton throws a hook but Coe blocks it.
Britton ducks right into an uppercut from Coe.

Coe rushes Britton and presses him up against the cage.

Britton pulls guard effortlessly.
Coe tries to free his leg and advance position but Britton is retaining full guard.
Coe is working hard here to advance position.
Coe postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Britton looking to hit a scissor sweep but Coe is one step ahead there.

Coe drops back, looking for a kneebar! Britton looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Britton looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Britton!

Coe has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Britton lands a nice forearm strike.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Coe is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Britton off and has taken his back!
Coe keeps control of the position easily here as Britton tries to buck him off.
