Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rauf Amudaev (ranked 5135 p4p, 5390 weight class) and Derek Flarkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rauf Amudaev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Derek Flarkins! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flarkins shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Flarkins is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Amudaev stuffs the takedown attempt from Flarkins. Flarkins gets slowly back to his feet. Amudaev tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Flarkins manages to circle out of the way. Flarkins misses with a double jab
and Amudaev counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Amudaev. Flarkins tries to pull guard but Amudaev holds him up against the cage and eventually Flarkins drops back down to his feet.
Amudaev wants the takedown. Flarkins is fighting it off but Amudaev persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Flarkins's guard against the cage. Amudaev landing with the ground and pound. Flarkins wants to stand but Amudaev is controlling the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Flarkins looking to control.
Amudaev seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Amudaev accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Amudaev lands a couple of decent looking shots. Amudaev makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Amudaev lands a couple of digs. Amudaev postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Amudaev slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Flarkins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Amudaev lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Amudaev showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Amudaev landing with the ground and pound. Amudaev working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Flarkins's head. Amudaev cracks Flarkins with a solid left hand. Amudaev is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Flarkins looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Amudaev has picked Flarkins up and slammed him! Flarkins can't keep hold of the triangle and Amudaev manages to pass to side control! Amudaev lands a decent elbow from side control. Amudaev scores with punches from side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Amudaev scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Flarkins to see if he's OK.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Amudaev cracks Flarkins with a big right hand but Flarkins just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Amudaev landing a few strikes. Amudaev working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Flarkins looks winded! Flarkins is working to avoid the ground and pound but Amudaev connects with a decent elbow. Amudaev controls the position. Amudaev is chipping away with strikes.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Flarkins takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Amudaev works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Flarkins is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Flarkins is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Amudaev lands a few punches from side control. Amudaev lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Flarkins down.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Amudaev connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Flarkins some visible discomfort.
Flarkins being controlled for a moment. Flarkins struggling a bit here. Amudaev controlling the position. Amudaev is putting a hurting on Flarkins here, landing some big shots from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rauf Amudaev dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Amudaev misses with a hook. Flarkins ducked under it nicely. Amudaev circles away from the clinch attempt.

Flarkins tries to break free but Amudaev pushes him back against the cage. Amudaev softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Amudaev goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Amudaev. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Flarkins is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Amudaev to keep the fight standing. Flarkins tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. A head punch on the inside from Amudaev fails to land. Amudaev works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Amudaev postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Amudaev is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Amudaev trying to control but Flarkins is working from the bottom. Amudaev is in close to Flarkins's body, working some short punches and elbows. Amudaev lands a couple of digs. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Amudaev's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Amudaev might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Flarkins has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Amudaev can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Flarkins is breathing heavily. Amudaev engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Rauf Amudaev overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Amudaev works over Flarkins with some ground and pound from guard. Amudaev landing with the ground and pound. Amudaev is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Flarkins can do to turn this around? Amudaev slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Amudaev seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Flarkins for as long as he can get away with. Amudaev stands up over Flarkins, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Amudaev wants to control from the top but Flarkins keeps moving. Amudaev looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Flarkins tries to keep at a distance but Amudaev has taken the fight into the clinch. Amudaev misses with a short punch on the inside. Amudaev letting Flarkins take a breather here. Amudaev pressing his opponent against the cage. Amudaev struggles to land a body shot inside as Flarkins controls his hands.

That's one minute gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Amudaev connects with a nice short shot to Flarkins's temple. Amudaev working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Amudaev wants to free his trapped foot but Flarkins is holding on for dear life with his legs. Flarkins is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Amudaev scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Amudaev not doing much here.
Flarkins trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Amudaev tries to control but Flarkins wriggling away. Amudaev cracks Flarkins with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Amudaev lands a couple of good shots and Flarkins has given up his back, trying to escape the position! The referee is taking a good look at Flarkins as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Amudaev!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Amudaev is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Flarkins up.
Flarkins is rocked! Flarkins takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Amudaev cracks Flarkins with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Flarkins from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Flarkins is still in real trouble! Can Amudaev finish him? Amudaev cracks Flarkins with a big right hand from the back mount! Flarkins immediately covers up and the referee dives in to save him under a barrage of more strikes! Amudaev takes this one by TKO!
