Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Howard Zynne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 38 - 161 - 3, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frito Lei!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zynne buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Lei tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Zynne counters with a nice right hand that sends Lei toppling to the canvas! Lei scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Zynne finish him?!
An inside leg kick from Lei misses.
A quick step to the side and Zynne tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Zynne cracks Lei with a left hook right on the temple and Lei goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Zynne lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Lei is OK!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Howard Zynne!
In his post fight interview, Howard Zynne started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
