The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as Brooksbank checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Brooksbank with the counter takedown but Boxer avoids it easily.
Boxer feints and then cracks Brooksbank's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Brooksbank down.
Brooksbank swings for the body but Boxer moves out of range.

Brooksbank pivots, looking for a leg kick but Boxer is out of range and Brooksbank settles back down.
Boxer swings away with a leg kick that misses.

No luck for Brooksbank with that takedown attempt.
Thai Boxer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Whack! Boxer lands a heavy head kick that drops Brooksbank. The ref tackles Boxer to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Brooksbank was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Thai Boxer!
A relieved looking Thai Boxer thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
