Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Kosuke Ishimura (ranked 1979 p4p, 255 weight class) and Nathan Summers (ranked 2861 p4p, 355 weight class). Nathan Summers has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Kosuke Ishimura's chin.

27 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nathan Summers! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Summers misses with a wild combination.
As Summers backs away, Ishimura returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Ishimura looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Ishimura throws a leg kick but Summers moved away. Summers doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Summers checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Ishimura lands a head kick. Summers smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
It looks like Nathan Summers has been cut. A low kick from Ishimura is predictable there and Summers counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Summers rushes Ishimura and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. Ishimura doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
We've been informed that Summers has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Ishimura pushes Summers back against the ropes and unloads with a body punch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ishimura blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Ishimura escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ishimura fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Summers checks it well. Summers goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Ishimura keeps the fight on the outside. Ishimura looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Summers ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ishimura moves away. Ishimura swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Summers moves into the clinch. Summers misses with a short punch on the inside. Ishimura tries a body shot but Summers blocks it.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Summers. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Summers tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ishimura fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Summers has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Summers moves to clinch but Ishimura breaks away and Ishimura counters with a leg kick. Summers misses with a wild body shot. Summers swings for the body but Ishimura moves out of range.
As Summers looks to move away, Ishimura throws a big counter combo but Summers just gets out of the way. Summers darts in and clinches Ishimura up against the ropes. Summers fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Nathan Summers is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ishimura throws a leg kick that is checked and Summers connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Ishimura rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Summers moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Summers stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Summers tries to clinch but Ishimura is having none of it. Ishimura throws a leg kick and Summers counters with a one-two to the body. Ishimura misses with a low kick as Summers jumps back. Ishimura tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Ishimura throws a solid leg kick but Summers takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Ishimura. Summers is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ishimura. Ishimura swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Ishimura pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Summers steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ishimura. Summers checks a leg kick. Ishimura lands a nice leg kick that just misses Summers's sensitive parts. A clash of legs there as Summers blocks the low kick. Ishimura throws a sloppy head kick and Summers counters with a lovely straight right hand! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Kosuke Ishimura will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Nathan Summers's cut. That's the end of the interval. and as Ishimura looks to reset his feet, Summers counters with a string of precision punches, right on the button, sending Ishimura crashing to the canvas! Ishimura is in big trouble here! The referee has started the count but Ishimura is so wobbly that the ref has given up the count at 6 - he's called the bout off! Summers is your winner!
