Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Primo Carnero (ranked 2740 p4p, 1840 weight class) and Obina Chuckwu (ranked 350 p4p, 240 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Primo Carnero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Obina Chuckwu!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Santiago Holmes.

Carnero scores with a jab to the jaw.
Carnero throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Chuckwu dives in for a single leg takedown but Carnero sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Chuckwu steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Carnero.
Chuckwu takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Carnero throws a looping overhand right but Chuckwu ducks down to avoid it.
Carnero throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Chuckwu stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A big left from Carnero misses.
Carnero moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromChuckwu.
Carnero lands with a nice body punch.
Carnero misses with a straight right.
Chuckwu closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Chuckwu fails with a takedown attempt.
Chuckwu moves out of range as Carnero strikes.
Carnero gets caught napping as Chuckwu dives in and scores a takedown. Carnero manages to retain guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Chuckwu seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chuckwu's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Carnero is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Carnero has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Chuckwu connects with a couple of short punches.
Chuckwu stands up over Carnero, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Carnero is looking to stand up but Chuckwu isn't so interested in that idea.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chuckwu makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Carnero wants to get back to his feet but Chuckwu is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Chuckwu postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Carnero covers up, he's hurt! Chuckwu keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Chuckwu and the ref steps in to end the fight! Chuckwu can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Obina Chuckwu!
During a confident post fight interview, Obina Chuckwu thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
