Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Archy Banoffee (ranked 5357 p4p, 4311 weight class) and Anike Chukwu (ranked 493 p4p, 426 weight class). Banoffee kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Bad Reputation. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Nice uppercut lands for Chukwu. That snapped Banoffee's head back.
Chukwu throws a quick inside leg kick.
Chukwu cracks Banoffee with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Banoffee blocks a jab.
Chukwu loads up on a big right hand but Banoffee slips the punch.
Banoffee swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Chukwu bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Banoffee's head.

Banoffee drops Chukwu with a beautiful combination! Chukwu stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Banoffee is looking for the KO!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Banoffee displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Chukwu throws out the jab.
Chukwu keeps the fight on the outside.
Banoffee throws the left hand but Chukwu avoids the punch easily.
Chukwu throws a leg kick which misses Banoffee's front leg but catches the back leg as Banoffee tries to avoid it.
Banoffee takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Chukwu connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Banoffee momentarily.

Banoffee cracks Chukwu with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Chukwu looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Banoffee finish him?

Chukwu scores with the left hand. Banoffee knows he should have avoided that one.

Banoffee is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Banoffee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Chukwu throws a shot from downtown. Banoffee moves away and avoids it.
Banoffee was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Chukwu is looking to slow Banoffee down with leg kicks.
Chukwu tries a head kick but it misses.

Banoffee will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Chukwu is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.

The fighters circling - Chukwu throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Chukwu lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Banoffee sends Chukwu crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Banoffee is motioning to the referee to let Chukwu up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Chukwu is still on wobbly legs! Can Banoffee finish him?

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Archy Banoffee.
Well Banoffee has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
