Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between O Chen Purjalsta (ranked 25138 p4p, 7519 weight class) and Adrian Petrov (ranked 569 p4p, 523 weight class). Purjalsta comes to the cage accompanied by Kyrgyzstan National Anthem. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, O Chen Purjalsta! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Adrian Petrov! The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Eliza Hachem and Topper Green.

Petrov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Purjalsta but Purjalsta pushes him off and we're back to square one. Petrov leaves Purjalsta with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Purjalsta shoots in and bounces Petrov off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Petrov throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Purjalsta seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Purjalsta is working Petrov over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Purjalsta not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Petrov trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Purjalsta sitting in guard, not really doing much. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Purjalsta stands up over Petrov, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Purjalsta won't allow Petrov to sweep him here. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Petrov controls Purjalsta momentarily but Purjalsta frees himself. Purjalsta is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Petrov might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Purjalsta haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Petrov is looking to improve his position.
Purjalsta definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Purjalsta performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Petrov throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Petrov has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Purjalsta is landing a low percentage of strikes. Purjalsta gets a clinch.

And Petrov tries to counter it with a takedown but Purjalsta pushes his down on his head and steps out. Purjalsta is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Petrov can do to turn this around? Purjalsta throws a hook but Petrov blocks it. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Petrov is defended easily by Purjalsta. Purjalsta rushes Petrov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Petrov is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Purjalsta gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Petrov is working for takedown but Purjalsta is calmly controlling the position for now. O Chen Purjalsta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Petrov shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Purjalsta is trying to defend but Petrov finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Petrov takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Purjalsta moves into full guard.

Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round! Petrov darts in looking for a takedown but Purjalsta gets double underhooks and turns Petrov into the cage. Petrov just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromPurjalsta. Petrov checks the leg kick. Petrov is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Purjalsta shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Petrov defends it nicely. Purjalsta moves into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. O Chen Purjalsta overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Petrov is trying to control the position but Purjalsta postures up. O Chen Purjalsta is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
