Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lucky Slevin (ranked 7108 p4p, 527 weight class) and Bruno Soriano (ranked 4750 p4p, 449 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lucky Slevin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bruno Soriano!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soriano moves away from the strike by Slevin.
Slevin misses with a combination

and Soriano counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Slevin is trying to get back to full guard.
Soriano looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Slevin is trying to stand.

Soriano is working for a submission of some sort.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Slevin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Soriano wants to work for an arm triangle but Slevin is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Soriano is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Slevin defends it well.
Slevin tries to roll over but Soriano keeps him under control.

Soriano is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Slevin is trying to stand up here but Soriano is controlling him well.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Soriano is thwarting Slevin's attempts to control the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Slevin throws a right and a left that Soriano avoids nicely.
And Soriano tries to counter it with a takedown but Slevin pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Soriano goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Slevin rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Soriano's guard! Nice work there by Slevin!
Soriano is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Soriano is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Slevin defends well.

Slevin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Soriano has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Slevin has managed to get both his arms back between Soriano's legs - danger averted.

Soriano is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Slevin still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Slevin has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

That was a close second round but I would say that Lucky Slevin will probably get the nod.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bruno Soriano comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Soriano has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
