Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryhti Metti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Salmon Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Salmon Chase was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksandr Martynov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Metti closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Metti lands in his opponent's guard.
Metti is in close to Chase's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Metti trying to control the position from guard on top but Chase is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Chase tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Chase is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Metti drops back looking for a leg! Chase is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Chase manages to kick Metti off! Metti jumps back into Chase's guard.
Chase throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Chase working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Metti doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Metti manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Chase is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Metti drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Metti jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Metti uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Chase.
Chase tests Metti's chin there with a solid looking shot.
It looks like Ryhti Metti has been cut.
Salmon Chase is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Chase misses the shot to the body.

Metti avoids the body shot from Chase.

Salmon Chase seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chase waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Metti.
Chase keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Chase misses with a jab, cross combination.
Chase punishes Metti's body with a nice straight punch.
Oooh a lovely combination from Chase sends Metti down but not out. Chase dives into side control looking to finish.
Metti is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Chase stands up.
Oh Metti is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Chase fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Metti square on the jaw! Damn, Metti is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Salmon Chase!
