Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Smith (ranked 3283 p4p, 3439 weight class) and Rick Siver (ranked 337 p4p, 352 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Smith might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The man who can't be moved . Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, George Smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rick Siver! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Siver fails with the takedown and Siver takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Siver fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Smith to the ground. Siver is now in Smith's guard. Siver working some strikes from top position. Smith utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Siver missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Siver working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Smith doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Smith manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Smith has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Siver is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Smith knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Siver on the ground. Siver bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Smith's guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Smith holds on and takes a little breather. Siver prevents Smith from getting back to his feet. Siver works over Smith with some ground and pound from guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Siver missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Siver trying to control but Smith is working from the bottom. Smith is wriggling around but Siver manages to pass to half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Siver lands a nice short elbow. Smith blocking the ground and pound attempt from Siver. We've been hearing good reports from Smith's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Smith keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Siver lands strikes from half guard. Smith on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Smith tries to get out of the position. Smith on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. That's four minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Siver connects with a nice short shot to Smith's temple. Siver is looking for a kimura here.

Siver slows the pace down in half guard. Smith taking some punishment here, with Siver in his half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rick Siver dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Smith closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Siver has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Smith is on him like a limpet, forcing Siver back against the cage. Siver breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Siver fails with the takedown and Smith connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Smith shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Siver is trying to defend but Smith finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Siver has one foot on Smith's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Siver misses with a double jab
and Smith counters with a left and a right that stings Siver. George Smith is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Smith is trying hard to land a takedown here. Siver sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Siver shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Smith sprawls well. Smith wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Siver gets slowly back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Siver changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smith tries to avoid it but Siver manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smith to the ground. Smith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. George Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Siver. Siver shoots for a takedown but Smith saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Smith gets caught flat footed, as Siver shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Smith rolls with it to try and escape but Siver cranks on the arm and Smith is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
