Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Leffe Fotled!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ishod Izgoev!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksandr Martynov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fotled drops Izgoev with a left right combo! Fotled follows him down to the ground into side control.
Izgoev is rocked!
It looks like Ishod Izgoev has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fotled tries to score with some ground and pound. Izgoev controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Izgoev is still in real trouble! Can Fotled finish him?
Fotled working away.
Izgoev seems to have recovered his senses.
Fotled scores with a couple of short elbows.
Fotled lands a nice forearm strike.
Izgoev wants to control but Fotled postures up.
Izgoev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fotled. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fotled creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Izgoev sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Fotled is chipping away with strikes.
That has opened up Ishod Izgoev's cut even more.
Fotled tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fotled has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Fotled working away.
Fotled will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Fotled creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Izgoev is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Fotled has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Izgoev tries to buck Fotled off but Fotled is having none of it.
Fotled landing a few strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fotled in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Fotled is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Izgoev is trying to escape and Fotled transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Izgoev is forced to tap! Nice work there by Fotled! Very nice indeed!
