Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Myles Ruth (ranked 5865 p4p, 480 weight class) and Oakley Fisher (ranked 7491 p4p, 544 weight class). Fisher is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bolt Thrower - Spearhead. The key to victory for Myles Ruth has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Eddie Farnsworth and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fisher fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
It looked like Ruth wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Fisher doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Ruth counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Ruth punishes Fisher's body with a nice straight punch.
Ruth bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Fisher's head.
Ruth cracks Fisher with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Ruth stuns Fisher with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Fisher tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ruth swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Fisher decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Ruth is looking to improve his position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Ruth is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Fisher's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Fisher's back!

Ruth gets to his feet - Fisher follows without any prompting.
Fisher looks for a takedown but Ruth sprawls well.

Ruth dips to his left and cracks Fisher with an uppercut!
Fisher takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Ruth changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Fisher shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ruth pinned against the cage. Ruth gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ruth lands a nice hook to Fisher's body. Fisher takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Ruth counters with a stiff right hand.

Fisher needs to keep his hands up - Ruth had a free shot at his head there.
Fisher misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Myles Ruth is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fisher drops his hands momentarily and Ruth takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Ruth throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Fisher stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fisher shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Ruth counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Fisher is rocked!

Ruth finds Fisher's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Fisher flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Ruth lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Fisher will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Myles Ruth!
