Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chris Caine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark MacLeod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Caine comes to the cage accompanied by All These Things. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Caine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark MacLeod!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacLeod throws a series of punches but Caine avoids them all with ease.
MacLeod misses with a series of wild punches.
MacLeod throws a series of punches but Caine avoids them all with ease.
MacLeod misses with a two punch combination.
No luck for Caine with that takedown attempt.
Caine shoots in but MacLeod avoids the takedown attempt easily.
MacLeod throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
MacLeod pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
MacLeod lands a nice shot that snaps Caine's head back.
Mark MacLeod seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
MacLeod stalks Caine and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Caine's face. Caine staggers backwards, shaken.
MacLeod thows a body shot but no joy.
Caine walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.


Caine is rocked!


It looks like Chris Caine has been cut.
MacLeod throws a leg kick but Caine moved away.
Oh Caine is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Caine checks the leg kick.
Caine seems to have got his legs back now.
MacLeod will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
MacLeod is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Caine closes the distance and clinches up with MacLeod, looking for a takedown. Caine pushes MacLeod against the cage but MacLeod circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Caine. That's going to take a lot out of him.
MacLeod goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
MacLeod listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Caine shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has MacLeod pinned against the cage. MacLeod gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
MacLeod stuffs the takedown attempt from Caine. Caine gets slowly back to his feet.
MacLeod thuds a left hand into Caine's body.
Caine is breathing heavily.

MacLeod lands a head kick that stumbles Caine and the fighters go to the mat.
MacLeod wants to control from the top but Caine keeps moving.
Caine trying to keep a closed guard but MacLeod is proving a slippery customer.

MacLeod is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Caine is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Caine has escaped and now he's on top!
MacLeod manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

MacLeod looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
MacLeod lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Caine working to try and regain half guard.
Caine swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
BOOM! MacLeod connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Caine is trying to escape the mount.
MacLeod punishing his opponent with strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

MacLeod working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
MacLeod looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
MacLeod putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Caine holds on for dear life, controlling MacLeod's posture momentarily.
Caine is squirming around, avoiding MacLeod's attempts to control the action.
MacLeod dominating with strikes here.
MacLeod has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Caine tries to hold on but MacLeod postures up.

Caine is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. MacLeod locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Caine is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Mark MacLeod!
