Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Thiago Cunha and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cortez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cortez throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
A nice combination there by Cortez.
It looks like Vinnie Marco has been cut.

Marco shoots in looking for a takedown. Cortez tries to sprawl out of it but Marco keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cortez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Cortez throws a push kick but Marco slaps the foot to one side.
Cortez is looking to land body kicks.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Cortez.

Cortez swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cortez drops Marco with a beautiful combination! Marco stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Cortez is looking for the KO!
Marco darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Cortez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Marco. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Cortez tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Marco manages to move to mount!

Cortez wants to get back to his feet.
Cortez reaches up to try and control the position but Marco seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Cortez rolls and tries to escape and now Marco has his back!
Marco working for a choke but Cortez is defending well.

Marco not allowing Cortez to control his hands.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Cortez holding both Marco 's hands and preventing any damage.
Marco is breathing heavily.
Cortez tries to escape but he's let his defenses down in doing so and Marco has slipped in the rear naked choke! Oh, that's tiiiiiiiiight! Cortez is tapping! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
