Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between King Kings (ranked 4720 p4p, 4718 weight class) and Sandy Chai (ranked 534 p4p, 515 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sandy Chai!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Peter Branson.





The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kings lands with a straight right. Chai didn't see that one coming.
Kings blocks a head kick by Chai.
Sloppy strikes from Chai. Those never looked like landing.
Chai misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kings throws a series of punches but Chai moves out of range.
Kings jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Chai lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Kings avoids a punch combination nicely.

Chai drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kings is working to avoid the ground and pound but Chai connects with a decent elbow.
Chai in side control, throwing shots but Kings defends.
Kings is trying to buck Chai off.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kings defending against the ground and pound.

Kings is trying to get back to half guard.
Kings can't do much from the bottom here.
Chai has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Chai thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Chai works to advance to full mount. Kings defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Chai looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Chai looking to secure an arm triangle but Kings defends it well.
Kings knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chai on the ground.
Chai avoids the attempt from Kings to control.

Chai is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kings can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Chai lands a couple of good shots and Kings has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Chai lands punches and elbows.
Kings takes a big shot to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Chai lands with a hammerfist to the side of Kings's head.

Chai is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Chai is persistently looking for the submission but Kings is defending it well.

Kings manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position.
Some wild striking there from Kings.

Chai walks into a jab.
Chai swats away the attempt to clinch by Kings.
Chai throws a leg kick but Kings sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Chai takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Chai will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kings lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Kings tries to clinch up.
Kings moves in looking to clinch but Chai pushes him off.
Kings throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kings throws out a powerful jab.
Chai circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Chai pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kings looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Chai scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
This has been an exciting period of action!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Chai is defended easily by Kings.

Kings gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Chai is trying to drag Kings to the mat but Kings just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
King Kings has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sandy Chai.
Kings fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Kings's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sandy Chai dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Kings looks to land a combination but Chai avoids it well.
Chai fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Kings is out of range.
Chai misses with a two punch combination.
Chai misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Chai throws a shot to the body.
Kings avoids a kick to the body.
Kings throwing a counter right hand but Chai manages to avoid it.
Chai throws a nice looking combination but Kings bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kings connects with a nice looking jab.

Kings darts in and clinches Chai up against the cage.
Chai changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kings fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Kings throws a right hand that Chai ducks under and follows up with a left that Chai also avoids with ease.
Kings lands with an overhand left.

Kings moves into the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kings misses with a punch on the inside.
Kings lands a body shot in the clinch.
Kings gets through Chai's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Chai is breathing heavily.

Kings manages to break the clinch.

Kings fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Chai, pushing him back against the cage.
Kings throws a punch but it's blocked by Chai.
Kings lands with a short shot to the head.
A head punch on the inside from Kings fails to land.

Kings breaks the clinch.
Kings scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Chai closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Kings can't do much from the bottom here.
Kings is looking for a sweep.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chai is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kings knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kings looks to move to half guard but instead Chai has passed into mount! Damn!

Chai working for a guillotine from mount but Kings is in no mood to give up.
Kings on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kings tries to get out of the position.
Kings trying desperately to get to his feet.
Chai lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Kings wants to control but Chai is having none of it.

Chai swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
