Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marlon Oliveira!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tony McCowan!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.

McCowan slaps away a takedown attempt from Oliveira, before circling back to the center of the mat.
McCowan wants to counter the offense by Oliveira and move into the clinch position.
Oliveira looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
McCowan listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Oliveira closes the distance and clinches up with McCowan, looking for a takedown. Oliveira pushes McCowan against the cage but McCowan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A nice side step and McCowan releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters circling - Oliveira throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
McCowan's corner calls for a 1-2. McCowan obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Oliveira takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

and McCowan counters with a lovely straight right hand!
McCowan swings for the body but Oliveira moves out of range.

Oliveira drops an elbow to the side of McCowan's head.
McCowan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Oliveira. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Oliveira in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. McCowan tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Oliveira!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Marlon Oliveira!
After the fight, Marlon Oliveira was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
