Gwan takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Gwan uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Carter has time to react.
Carter tries to clinch there but Gwan circles away.
Carter throws a hook but Gwan avoids it easily.
Carter clinches up against the cage.
Carter lands a right hand that snaps the head of Gwan backwards.
Carter lands a nice elbow.
Gwan lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Gwan fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gwan swings wildly with an uppercut but Carter uses good head movement to avoid it.

Gwan looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Carter blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Carter breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gwan connects with a right hand. Carter shakes it off.
Carter walks into a left hand.

Gwan circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Carter to the canvas! Carter doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Gwan keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nario Gwan!
A relieved looking Nario Gwan thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
