Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Turd McPherson (ranked 1010 p4p, 1342 weight class) and Luis Maestre (ranked 48 p4p, 62 weight class). Luis Maestre will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Luis Maestre!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.

Maestre misses with an uppercut. McPherson saw that one coming.
McPherson throws a body punch but Maestre moves out of range.

No joy there for Maestre, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

McPherson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Maestre quickly recovers to half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with McPherson in particular looking to stall.
McPherson is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Maestre looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
McPherson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Maestre with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
McPherson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Maestre is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

McPherson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Maestre is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but McPherson pulls his head out easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McPherson prevents Maestre from improving his position.
McPherson has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
McPherson lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

McPherson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
McPherson lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Maestre hang on?
Maestre felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The referee warns Maestre that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
McPherson drops a big elbow. That's hurt Maestre! More shots from McPherson and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
