PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Everett Arroyo (ranked 3476 p4p, 3985 weight class) and Jay Villanueva (ranked 408 p4p, 455 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jay Villanueva!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.

Arroyo closes the distance and pushes Villanueva back into the cage.

Arroyo has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Villanueva has his hands clasped together but Arroyo extends and breaks Villanueva's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Arroyo.
