Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hadecki Matsui (ranked 793 p4p, 284 weight class) and Mama Tosen (ranked 99 p4p, 34 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Matsui might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Noypi by Bamboo. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hadecki Matsui!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mama Tosen!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.

A jab lands there for Tosen.

It looks like Hadecki Matsui has been cut.
Matsui just misses with a punch to the body.
Tosen stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Matsui drives through and clinches with Tosen against the cage.

Tosen decides to pull guard.

Tosen is looking for a triangle but Matsui pushes his legs off easily.
Matsui wants to stand but Tosen is controlling his posture from full guard.

Matsui has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Tosen felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Matsui throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Tosen makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Matsui. Tosen does a little dance to reset his feet.
Tosen tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Matsui moves into the clinch successfully.
Matsui doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Tosen blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Tosen works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tosen thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Matsui throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Tosen drops back, looking for a kneebar! Matsui looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Matsui looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Matsui!

Tosen is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Tosen is staying active underneath Matsui, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Matsui is looking to take a break and control but Tosen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Tosen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Matsui can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Tosen looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Matsui has picked Tosen up and slammed him! Tosen can't keep hold of the triangle and Matsui manages to pass to side control!

Matsui tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Matsui has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Tosen is looking to reverse the position.
Tosen dodges the ground and pound from Matsui.
Hadecki Matsui overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Tosen wants to control but Matsui postures up.
Tosen holding on.
Tosen tries to improve position but can't.
Tosen is trying to control Matsui's posture but Matsui avoids it.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

That's time! Matsui's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Matsui gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Tosen lands with a right to the head.

Tosen decides to pull guard.

Matsui is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Tosen has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Matsui is looking to defend but Tosen has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Matsui! Tosen pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Matsui taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Mama Tosen!
An out of breath Mama Tosen thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
In defeat, Hadecki Matsui stepped up to the mic, saying 'A man can be destroyed but not defeated... I will pickup the pieces that I learned today and will grow from it.'.
