Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Webber (ranked 6112 p4p, 6225 weight class) and Soons Sam (ranked 565 p4p, 570 weight class). Soons Sam struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 207.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Soons Sam is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Adam Webber!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Soons Sam!

Webber scores with a punch to the head.
Webber with a nice cross.

Sam gets a double leg takedown into Webber's guard.
Sam working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Sam is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Sam stands up and waves to Webber to follow him.

Webber tries to sprawl but Sam drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sam lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Webber is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sam pulls his head out easily.

Webber regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Sam.

Webber escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sam gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Webber can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sam controls the pace.

Sam gets to his feet - Webber follows without any prompting.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Webber rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sam moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sam blocks a jab.
Sam keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Webber.
Sam uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Webber.

Sam closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sam lands in his opponent's guard.

Sam got a little sloppy there for a moment and Webber has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sam has managed to get both his arms back between Webber's legs - danger averted.

Sam is looking to work some ground and pound but Webber has wrist control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Webber looks to score with a jab to the body but Sam is just out of range.
Sam avoids the body shot from Webber.
Sam throws a counter combo.

Webber gets caught flat footed, as Sam shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Soons Sam will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Webber looks to throw the jab but Sam is out of range.
Sam ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Webber scores with a nice strike.

Sam looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Still in half guard, Sam seems content to control.
Webber is looking for a sweep. Sam is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Sam keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Sam is keen to just control but Webber is a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sam not doing much here.
Sam is pressing down on Webber's thigh, looking to free his foot. Webber is holding on for now.

Webber moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Webber is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Sam stands and steps away. Webber gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

A lazy left from Webber finds it's target.
Sam slips a jab and a cross from Webber.

and Sam counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Webber is trying to control the position but Sam postures up.
Sam postures up in Webber's guard and throws a big left but Webber blocks it.
Sam throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Sam wants to control from the top but Webber keeps moving.
Soons Sam has got the better of the ground game so far.
Sam slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sam has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Webber is trying desperately to improve position.

Sam landing strikes, looking to finish!

Webber is rocked!

Sam working for a submission but Webber is keeping him at bay.
Oh Webber is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sam has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Sam tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Webber tries to reverse the position but Sam maintains control.
Sam takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Sam is breathing heavily.
Sam with shots to the head and body - Webber looks very uncomfortable down there.
Sam looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Webber covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
