Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mitch Andrews (ranked 5173 p4p, 4709 weight class) and Thomas McManus (ranked 552 p4p, 0 weight class). Mitch Andrews has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mitch Andrews! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Thomas McManus! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McManus scores with a one two! Andrews had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Mitch Andrews has been cut. McManus fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Andrews shoots for a takedown but McManus saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Andrews showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from McManus.
Andrews dives in for a single leg takedown but McManus sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Andrews fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mitch Andrews. That's going to take a lot out of him. McManus moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Andrews shoots in looking for a takedown. McManus tries to sprawl out of it but Andrews keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McManus manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Andrews closes this distance looking for a takedown but McManus circles away. Andrews on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Andrews fails with a takedown attempt. Andrews closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Andrews lands in his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Andrews wants to pass the guard but McManus is keeping the position. Andrews slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Andrews trying to control the position but McManus is working away. Andrews in side control, just content to control the action for now. Andrews is looking to take a break and control but McManus is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. McManus is pushing Andrews's head away, looking to escape. Andrews manages to hold on to the position though. McManus being controlled for a moment. Andrews trying to control the position but McManus is working away. Andrews tries to move to mount but McManus blocks the move with his legs. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McManus avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Andrews. Andrews staying calm. Andrews throwing strikes but McManus manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Andrews tries to escape but McManus is in control. Andrews manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Andrews is trying to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Andrews regains full guard. Nicely done. McManus postures up in Andrews's guard and throws a big left but Andrews blocks it. Andrews controlling McManus's posture. Andrews manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McManus manages to get himself to full guard.
Andrews trying to control the position from guard on top but McManus is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. McManus avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thomas McManus dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mitch Andrews's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Andrews shoots in looking for a takedown. McManus tries to sprawl out of it but Andrews keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McManus manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. McManus connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. McManus dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Andrews takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Andrews shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. McManus has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Andrews scores with a takedown into McManus's guard. Andrews trying to control but McManus is working from the bottom. Mitch Andrews overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McManus manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Thomas McManus seems to be getting the better of the standup. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Andrews misses with a takedown attempt - McManus sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mitch Andrews. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. McManus tries to clinch up. Andrews misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. McManus is looking to clinch. Andrews could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. McManus drops Andrews with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Andrews looks back up at him and smiles so McManus waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Andrews changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McManus tries to avoid it but Andrews manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McManus to the ground. McManus escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Andrews is trying hard to land a takedown here. McManus sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. McManus connects with a stiff jab that staggers Andrews - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Thomas McManus!
