Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Maya Chigg (ranked 6410 p4p, 566 weight class) and Weimin Liaw (ranked 3981 p4p, 454 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
37 - 24 - 3, fighting out of Amsterdam, Maya Chigg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 11 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Weimin Liaw!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chigg throws a leg kick which misses Liaw's front leg but catches the back leg as Liaw tries to avoid it.
Chigg pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
An inside leg kick lands from Chigg.
Chigg scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Chigg uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Liaw.
Chigg connects with a right hand. Liaw shakes it off.
Liaw fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Chigg on the side of the head.
Chigg throws a leg kick but Liaw moved away.
Liaw looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Chigg walks into a straight right hand and goes down! Liaw rushes to a neutral corner so the count doesn't get delayed but Chigg has made it back to his feet on 5. He's OK so we're back to the action.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Liaw throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Chigg fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Chigg stuns Liaw with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Liaw keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Chigg.
Liaw keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Liaw let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Chigg throws a body kick that misses
and Liaw counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Chigg throws a half hearted mid kick.
Liaw looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Liaw has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Chigg.
A slow jab from Chigg misses its intended target.
Liaw walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Chigg dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Liaw. That did some damage!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Chigg, right into the meat.
Liaw checks the leg kick nicely there.
Chigg tried to score with a low kick but Liaw checks it.
Chigg throws a head kick but Liaw moves out of range.
Chigg goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Liaw misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Chigg counters with a nice uppercut.

Chigg pushes Liaw away with a front kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chigg thuds his right hand into Liaw's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Chigg misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Chigg throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Liaw counters with a beautiful hook that drops Chigg to the mat! Will Chigg be able to recover his senses? The referee starts the count at 3 having sent Liaw to a neutral corner. 4,5,6 and Chigg is up. He looks OK to continue.
Chigg throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Liaw is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Chigg with a body shot.
Liaw cracks Chigg with a left hand that drops him to the canvas, up against the ropes! Can Chigg get back up in time? 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... he's on one knee... 8, 9... he's up! 'Walk towards me' says the referee. Chigg looks steady enough to continue so we're going to continue!
Chigg is rocked!
Chigg throws a leg kick that is checked
and Liaw counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Chigg connects with a single shot there.
Chigg scores with a crisp jab that stopped Liaw in his tracks.
Chigg slips under a jab from Liaw.
Liaw jabbing away but nothing is landing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Liaw moves out of range of the leg kick from Chigg.
Liaw throws a counter combo.
Chigg lands a jab.
Chigg walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Liaw checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Liaw! But no joy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Weimin Liaw will get the nod in that round, having scored multiple knockdowns.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.
Chigg throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Liaw stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Chigg throws a quick inside leg kick.
Liaw takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Chigg avoids a punch combination nicely.
Liaw lands a nice shot that snaps Chigg's head back.
Liaw tries to move into range but Chigg moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Liaw ducks under a wild hook from Chigg.
Liaw replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Chigg blocks it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Liaw throws a leg kick but Chigg checks it.
Chigg turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Maya Chigg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Liaw needs to keep his hands up - Chigg had a free shot at his head there.

Chigg works Liaw's body with a nice hook.
Liaw takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Liaw pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Chigg takes the fight into the clinch.
Liaw blocking some punches.
Liaw tries to work over Chigg's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Chigg misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Chigg tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Chigg.
Chigg misses with a punch to the body.
Liaw has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
The referee calls for Liaw to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chigg doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Liaw misses with some punches.
Chigg pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Liaw takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
No joy there for Chigg, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A nice side step and Liaw releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Chigg tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Liaw walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Chigg really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Liaw has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Chigg finds it's way round the side to connect with Liaw's head.
Liaw checks a low kick from Chigg.
A punch lands to the side of Liaw 's head but he takes it in his stride.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Maya Chigg dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

and Liaw cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Chigg feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Liaw's calf.

Chigg throws a head kick but Liaw moves out of range.
Liaw is looking for the big counter here.

Oh Chigg is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Chigg throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Liaw counters with a perfect left hook, dropping Chigg to the canvas. He tries to get back up quickly but his equilibrium is all over the place! He's up... he's back down again! There's no need for a count as the referee calls off the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Weimin Liaw!
