The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That kick from Taamu tenderised Burgundy's leg. Burgundy is trying to keep his angry face on.
Taamu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Taamu fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Burgundy.
A chopping leg kick lands by Taamu.
Taamu misses with a series of wild punches.
Tua Taamu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Taamu swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Burgundy is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Taamu with a body shot.
Taamu doesn't manage to clinch there - Burgundy circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Taamu throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Burgundy.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Taamu throws a head kick but Burgundy moves out of range.
Burgundy looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Taamu dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Burgundy. That did some damage!

Burgundy gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

A short body shot lands from Taamu as the two fighters clinch.

Taamu lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Burgundy backwards.

Burgundy works over Taamu's head and body with a nice combination.

It looks like Tua Taamu has been cut.

Taamu throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

That has opened up Ron Burgundy's cut even more.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Burgundy avoids a kick to the body.
Taamu chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Taamu throws a sloppy head kick and Burgundy moves out of range easily.
Burgundy now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Burgundy takes a kick to the side of the head.

Burgundy is rocked!
Taamu throws an overhand right that has Burgundy reeling! Taamu follows up with more punches and Burgundy is out cold! This one is all over!
