Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Liam Williams (ranked 3835 p4p, 7180 weight class) and Peter Silie (ranked 463 p4p, 656 weight class). Williams comes to the ring accompanied by Shaggy - It Wasn't Me. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Nice sprawl there from Williams as Silie shoots in.
Silie dives in and grabs Williams's left leg, looking for a takedown. Williams pushes down on Silie's head and hops out.

Silie shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Williams manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Silie is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Silie is pushing down on Williams's leg trying to pass to half guard. Williams is fighting to maintain full guard but Silie has managed to sneak the leg through.
Silie seems to be working for a kimura but Williams defends the submission attempt.
Silie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Silie is trying to work for a kimura but Williams is defending well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Silie is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Williams doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Silie.
