The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gruff scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
It looks like Francisco Danconia Jr has been cut.
Gruff definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Gruff lands a glancing blow to the side of Danconia Jr's head.
Danconia Jr steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gruff.
Gruff connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Danconia Jr's hands.
Danconia Jr has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Gruff finds it's way round the side to connect with Danconia Jr's head.
Nice straight punches there by Gruff. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Gruff.
Danconia Jr is rocked!
Gruff dances in with a quick combination. Danconia Jr is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Gruff snaps Danconia Jr's head back. Danconia Jr stumbles backwards against the cage. Gruff steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Danconia Jr's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Danconia Jr just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Buster Gruff!
Buster Gruff is the new super heavyweight champion!
Buster Gruff decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
