Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Garaile Lban (ranked 725 p4p, 2111 weight class) and Chief Zapata (ranked 112 p4p, 290 weight class). Chief Zapata acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Garaile Lban! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chief Zapata! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zapata throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Zapata throws a jab but it's blocked by Lban. Lban steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Zapata. Lban appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Zapata doesn't succeed with the takedown and Lban counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Zapata thinking. Lban digs a good hook to Zapata's body.
Zapata wants to clinch and Lban counters with a nice uppercut. Lban lands a nice shot that snaps Zapata's head back.
Lban fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Zapata looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Lban misses with a body shot.
Lban steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Zapata. Zapata misses with a lunging right hand
and Lban counters with a stiff right hand. Zapata forces Lban back against the cage and clinches. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lban struggles to land a body shot inside as Zapata controls his hands.

Nice uppercut lands for Lban. That snapped Zapata's head back.
Lban uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Zapata. An attempted straight right counter from Lban misses the target. Zapata throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Lban makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Nice defenses there by Lban. Lban lands with an uppercut that bounces Zapata off the cage and back into range. Garaile Lban is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Zapata moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Chief Zapata seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zapata connects with a good right hand that stumbles Lban. Lban circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Zapata misses with a straight left. Lban appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Zapata takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lban throws a right hand that Zapata ducks under and follows up with a left that Zapata also avoids with ease. Lban slips a straight right by Zapata. Lban lands a jab to Zapata's midsection. Zapata moves into the clinch successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lban lands a left hand that snaps the head of Zapata backwards. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Lban lands a body shot. Lban effectively controlling the action here. Nice body punch from Lban - that landed with a thud.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zapata wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lban has him pressed against the cage. A body shot lands from Lban.
Lban is leaning against Zapata and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. A shot in the inside from Lban. Lban softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Zapata working hard to break the clinch. Lban breaks the clinch.
Zapata swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Lban. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Garaile Lban dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Zapata throws a poor cross that misses
letting Lban counter with a right hand.
It looks like Garaile Lban has been cut. Lban is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Zapata can do to turn this around? Lban misses with a looping right. We've been told by Lban's head coaches at Death Valley Training Facility that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Zapata pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Zapata cracks Lban with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Lban falls to his knees and Zapata doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chief Zapata! Chief Zapata seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website. The defeated Garaile Lban had this to say: 'Thanks for coming..I'll be back'.
