Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Alex Alexandrov (ranked 4264 p4p, 407 weight class) and James Lesnar (ranked 4429 p4p, 418 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alex Alexandrov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Lesnar! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Sano and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alexandrov throws a leg kick which misses Lesnar's front leg but catches the back leg as Lesnar tries to avoid it. The fight moves into the clinch position. Lesnar breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Alexandrov darts in and clinches Lesnar up against the ropes. Alexandrov taking a breather. Lesnar prevents a body shot from Alexandrov. Lesnar wants to break the clinch but can't.
Lesnar taking a breather. I was talking to Alexandrov's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Alexandrov is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Lesnar digs a right hand into Alexandrov's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Alexandrov's gas tank. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Alexandrov has Lesnar pressed against the ropes, preventing Lesnar from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Alexandrov can't find room to land a body shot as Lesnar controls the action.

It looks like James Lesnar has been cut. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Alexandrov takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Lesnar tries to bum rush Alexandrov with a series of wild strikes but Alexandrov uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Alexandrov instigates a clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lesnar lands a left hand that snaps the head of Alexandrov backwards. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lesnar's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Alexandrov here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Alexandrov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Alexandrov forces Lesnar back against the ropes and clinches. And that's the end of the fight! Alex Alexandrov showed his dominance in that final round. Well Alexandrov has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
