Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Luciano Piccio (ranked 4064 p4p, 4406 weight class) and Ting Wallawallabingbang (ranked 401 p4p, 422 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ting Wallawallabingbang!

and Piccio counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Piccio wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wallawallabingbang keeps working.

and Piccio counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wallawallabingbang won't be happy with that.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Wallawallabingbang enables Piccio to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Wallawallabingbang manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Piccio shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Piccio was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Piccio is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Wallawallabingbang tries to bench press Piccio off him but Piccio keeps the position.

Wallawallabingbang takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Piccio shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wallawallabingbang sprawls well. Wallawallabingbang wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Piccio gets slowly back to his feet.

and Piccio counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Wallawallabingbang!
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Piccio connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Wallawallabingbang some visible discomfort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Piccio's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Wallawallabingbang tries to sprawl but Piccio drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Piccio looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wallawallabingbang with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Piccio is looking to take a break and control but Wallawallabingbang is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Piccio lands a nice short elbow.

Wallawallabingbang can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Piccio controls the pace.
