Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alessio Da Santiago (ranked 5107 p4p, 5322 weight class) and Wesley Carter (ranked 220 p4p, 226 weight class). Wesley Carter will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

Da Santiago lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Carter circles away quickly and effectively.
A head kick from Carter lands but Da Santiago takes it in his stride.
Da Santiago connects with the punch.
Da Santiago shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Carter sprawls well. Carter wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Da Santiago gets slowly back to his feet.
Carter scores with a head kick.
Carter darts in and clinches Da Santiago up against the cage.
Carter tries a knee to the head but Da Santiago blocks it.
Da Santiago on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Da Santiago pulls Carter into guard.
Da Santiago seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Carter is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Da Santiago looking for a guillotine here but Carter defends easily.

Carter throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Da Santiago working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Carter doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Carter manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Carter postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carter sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Da Santiago doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Carter paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Da Santiago - great work!
