Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Tupp (ranked 1687 p4p, 2107 weight class) and Shaq Champlain (ranked 195 p4p, 233 weight class). Tupp comes to the cage accompanied by Black No. 1. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jack Tupp! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shaq Champlain! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tupp clinches. Champlain tries to pull guard but Tupp holds him up against the cage and eventually Champlain drops back down to his feet.
A bit of stalling here from Tupp.
Champlain wants the takedown. Tupp is fighting it off but Champlain persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Tupp's guard against the cage. Champlain decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Tupp shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Champlain napping and manages to drive through into side control! Tupp stands up and we're back to a striking position. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Champlain has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Tupp shoots in for a double leg but Champlain sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Champlain tries to sprawl but Tupp drives through with a takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tupp decides to return to a standing position. Tupp leaves Champlain with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice uppercut there from Tupp.
It looks like Shaq Champlain has been cut. Tupp shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Champlain trying to control from the bottom.
Champlain moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Champlain wants to sweep but no luck. Tupp showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Tupp knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Champlain on the ground. Champlain not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Champlain has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tupp can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Tupp has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Tupp is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Tupp looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Champlain had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tupp defends it easily. Tupp won't allow Champlain to sweep him here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tupp controlling from the top position. Champlain is looking to cinch up a triangle. Tupp throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Champlain's body to avoid the submission. Champlain has instead reached around Tupp's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Champlain arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Shaq Champlain! An out of breath Shaq Champlain thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
