A jab from Weeks does it's job there.
Weeks wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Weeks misses with a hook

and Vergys counters with a takedown into side control.

Vergys tries for a kimura but Weeks is defending well.
Weeks knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vergys on the ground.

Vergys thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Weeks is looking to reverse the position.
