Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kane Hemmings (ranked 4572 p4p, 5533 weight class) and Carol Baskin (ranked 455 p4p, 521 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kane Hemmings! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carol Baskin! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hemmings gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Hemmings turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hemmings manages to end up in side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Baskin stuck in half guard on the bottom here. Hemmings lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Hemmings tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Hemmings knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Baskin on the ground. Hemmings tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hemmings swings around for an armbar but Baskin sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Hemmings's guard. Baskin trying to control the position from guard on top but Hemmings is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Baskin is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baskin is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Hemmings throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Baskin gets to his feet - Hemmings follows without any prompting. Hemmings looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Hemmings leaves Baskin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Baskin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Baskin wants it to stay on the feet. Baskin wants to counter with a clinch but Hemmings pushes him away. Horrible takedown attempt by Hemmings or perhaps it was just good defense by Baskin, which made it look bad. Despite the aggression on Baskin's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Hemmings throws a series of punches but Baskin moves out of range. Kane Hemmings seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Some wild striking there from Baskin.
Hemmings throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Hemmings fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Hemmings lands a head kick. Baskin smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Hemmings throws a right and a left that Baskin avoids nicely. Baskin looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Hemmings moves into range and clinches up with Baskin. Baskin fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hemmings being controlled against the cage. Hemmings is looking to take this one to the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kane Hemmings. That's going to take a lot out of him. Baskin stalling.
Hemmings changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Baskin fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Hemmings moves into the clinch successfully.
Hemmings pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Baskin fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Hemmings tries to counter by clinching up but Baskin breaks away and moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters circle momentarily. Baskin darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Baskin closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hemmings's guard. Hemmings throws his legs up looking for a submission but Baskin uses it to pass to side control.
Hemmings takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Hemmings tries to control but Baskin manages to take his back. Baskin working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Hemmings is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Baskin has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Hemmings taps out!
