Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Patrick Hoolahan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Anderson Werdum!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.

Werdum throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hoolahan was covering up waiting for the punch and Werdum finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Werdum turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Werdum manages to end up in side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hoolahan manages to get back to half guard.
Werdum looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Werdum's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Werdum has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Hoolahan throws the left hand but Werdum avoids the punch easily.

Hoolahan throws a hook but Werdum blocks it.
Hoolahan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Patrick Hoolahan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Werdum feints and as Hoolahan raises his hands in defense, Werdum changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hoolahan tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Werdum gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Werdum closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Werdum lands in his opponent's guard.

Werdum fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hoolahan has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Oh Hoolahan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Werdum working the clinch nicely. Hoolahan is working for position but Werdum cracks him with a big knee to the head! Hoolahan crumples up against the cage and Werdum lands two more shots before the ref can save Hoolahan! This one is all over!
