The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.

Grant takes the fight into the clinch.
Grant has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Bird regains guard immediately.
Bird manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Bird digs a good hook to Grant's body.
Grant swats away the attempt to clinch by Bird.
Grant changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bird gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Grant to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Bird working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Grant doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Grant manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Grant wants to stand up but Bird is controlling him.
Bird postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Grant is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bird, into his guard.
Grant wants to pass the guard but Bird is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Grant missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Grant stands up over Bird, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Grant with a flurry of punches that miss.
Bird is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Grant is aware though and is defending well.

Bird will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bird has an active guard here but Grant has managed to pass into half guard.
Bird is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Grant is tapping! Great win for Bird!
