Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evan Hit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hit has chosen Remember the name as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gabriel Alves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Evan Hit!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hit but Hit pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Alves walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Hit gets caught flat footed, as Alves shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Alves wants to control from the top but Hit keeps moving.

Alves stands up from Hit's guard - Alves perhaps looking for a knockout.

Alves has managed to clinch.
Hit is trying to break free.
Hit has Alves pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Alves manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
A body shot lands from Hit.
Hit tries to pull guard but Alves holds him up against the cage and eventually Hit drops back down to his feet.

Alves has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Hit is trying to keep an underhook but Alves manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Alves is trying to control. Hit wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Hit gets full guard.
Hit seems keen to control Alves's posture.
Alves won't allow Hit to get back to his feet.
Hit is trying to control the position but Alves postures up.
Alves wants to pass the guard but Hit is keeping the position.
Alves missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Hit wants to stand but Alves is controlling the position.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Hit holds on and takes a little breather.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Alves counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hit's guard now.
Gabriel Alves has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Evan Hit.

Hit is working an open guard so Alves takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

and Alves decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hit's guard.
Alves is breathing heavily.
Hit is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Alves is controlling him.
Alves passes easily into side control. Nice work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hit wants to control but Alves postures up.
Alves in side control lands a decent elbow.
Alves staying calm.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Alves cracks Hit with a big elbow.

Alves thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Alves decides to stand up, so the ref orders Hit to his feet.

Alves takes a jab right on the kisser.
Alves bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Hit shoots in for a double leg but Alves sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Alves fails with the takedown

and Hit counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hit is thwarting Alves's attempts to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alves tries to close the distance and clinch but Hit swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hit avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

and Alves counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Alves.

Hit escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Alves closes the distance and clinches up with Hit, looking for a takedown. Alves pushes Hit against the cage but Hit circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hit stalks Alves and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Alves's face. Alves staggers backwards, shaken.
Alves on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Alves tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hit swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hit shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Alves wants to hold on but Hit pushes him away.
A nice elbow there by Hit.
Alves is just holding on here. Hit manages to take his back.
A lull in the action here.
Hit has the hooks in. Alves is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Hit wants to control but Alves is keeping busy.
Alves looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Hit controlling well, preventing Alves from escaping the position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Alves is working hard here to advance position.
The referee is taking a good look at Alves as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Hit!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Hit.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Evan Hit showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Hit tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Alves swivels and escapes.
Hit changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Alves tries to avoid it but Hit manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Alves to the ground. Alves escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gabriel Alves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alves throws a sloppy head kick
and Hit counters with a one-two to the body.

Alves bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Alves landing strikes.

Alves stands up and beckons Hit to his feet.
Hit closes this distance looking for a takedown but Alves circles away.

Hit shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Alves as he jumps to the side.

Alves looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Hit is trying to control but can't.
Hit tries to get to full guard but Alves has control of the leg.
Alves is keen to just control but Hit is a slippery customer.

Hit is trying to stand up here but Alves is controlling him well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A bit of stalling here from Alves.
Alves wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hit has him pressed against the cage.
Alves has Hit pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hit manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Hit manages to pull guard.
Alves trying to control but Hit is working from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Hit wants to stand up but Alves is controlling him.

Alves stands up from Hit's guard - Alves perhaps looking for a knockout.

Hit darts in and clinches Alves up against the cage.

Alves has Hit pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Alves pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Hit tumbling to the mat - Alves dives into Hit's guard.

Hit has his foot on Alves's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Alves works his way back into a safe position though.

And that's the end of the fight!
Gabriel Alves showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Alves has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
