Weeks swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Weeks throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. O'Neil was covering up waiting for the punch and Weeks finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

O'Neil is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
O'Neil stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Weeks swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close round but I would say that Darren Weeks will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Weeks is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that O'Neil can do to turn this around?
O'Neil's corner calls for a 1-2. O'Neil obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Horrible takedown attempt by Weeks or perhaps it was just good defense by O'Neil, which made it look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darren Weeks. That's going to take a lot out of him.

O'Neil lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

O'Neil slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
O'Neil sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Weeks's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Darren Weeks will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

O'Neil slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
O'Neil takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Weeks looks for the body kick but O'Neil saw that one coming.
O'Neil throws a fast counter high kick but Weeks manages to duck under it in time.
Good exchange - Weeks coming out on top.
Weeks closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Weeks is rocked!
O'Neil slips under a jab.
Oh Weeks is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
O'Neil scores with a sloppy right hand. Weeks should have avoided that one.
Weeks switches off momentarily and O'Neil cracks him with a monster right hand! Weeks topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as O'Neil dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by O'Neil!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mickey O'Neil!
